Ice Box Pickles

6 cucumbers (small ones) unpeeled and thinly sliced
1 cup onion, sliced thin and seperated into rings
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup cider vinegar
2 cups sugar and 1 tsp. celery seed

Mix cucumbers, onion and salt, and refrigerate for two hours. Drain in a colander. Mix the other ingredients and pour over the cucumbers. Keep covered and store in the refrigerator.
They will keep three months.
